# DeleteSubnet

## 1. API Description

This API is used to delete a subnet.

* <mark style="color:blue;">Operations on subnets with instances in it are not supported. You can use</mark> [<mark style="color:purple;">`DescribeSubnets`</mark>](https://docs.console.zenlayer.com/api-reference/compute/zvm/network/describesubnets) <mark style="color:blue;">to query the status of the subnet.</mark>
* <mark style="color:blue;">Only operations on subnets in the status of</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">`Available`</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">or</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">`Failed`</mark> <mark style="color:blue;">are supported.</mark>

## 2. Input Parameters

The following request parameter list only provides API request parameters.

## 3. Output Parameters

| requestId      | String | The unique request ID, which is returned for each request. RequestId is required for locating a problem. |

| 500              | DELETE\_SUBNET\_FAILED                                      | Deleting failed.                                                |
| 404              | INVALID\_SUBNET\_NOT\_FOUND                                 | Subnet does not exist.                                          |
| 400              | UNSUPPORTED\_OPERATION\_SUBNET\_HAS\_INSTANCE               | Operations on subnets with instances in it are not supported.   |
| 400              | UNSUPPORTED\_OPERATION\_SUBNET\_HAS\_PRE\_PRODUCT\_INSTANCE | Instance is being created.                                      |
| 400              | UNSUPPORTED\_OPERATION\_SUBNET\_STATUS\_ERROR               | Operations on the subnet with current status are not supported. |
| 400              | OPERATION\_DENIED\_UNSUPPORTED\_SUBNET                      | Operations on the specified subnet are not supported.           |
