# Change Instance Specification

If your current instance specification no longer meets your needs, you can change it to another supported specification to adjust its vCPU and memory.

{% hint style="info" %} **Note**

* Stop the instance before changing its specification.
* Only specifications supported by the current instance are available for selection.
* New changes take immediate effect, and the instance is billed at the new specification.
 {% endhint %}

## Procedures

1. In the **Instances** list, make sure the target instance is stopped.
2. Go to **More Actions** > **Actions** > **Change Specification** of the target instance.
