This chapter guides you through creating an IP Transit HA instance in zenConsole.
Go to zenConsole → Network → IP Transit, click Buy in the upper-right corner, and follow the steps below.
Under HA Operating Mode, select one of the following:
Active-Standby: The primary port carries all traffic and switches to the standby port within seconds on failure. Best for workloads requiring deterministic routing paths.
Active-Active: Both links forward traffic simultaneously using ECMP, maximizing bandwidth utilization.

In the Select Ports section, select ports and configure VLANs:
Select the first port. The system automatically designates it as the primary port.
Select the second port. The system filters the list to show only ports in the same city as the primary port; ports in other cities are grayed out.
Enter a VLAN ID for each port (using the same VLAN ID for both is recommended).

Review the order summary (the system generates a single unified order covering both port resources) and click Buy Now to complete payment.
Note
If either port fails to provision after the order is submitted, the system automatically rolls back the entire order and reports a creation failure.
After creation, the HA instance appears in the IP Transit list with an HA badge. Go to the instance details page to view traffic monitoring, port status, and the current operating mode.
See View HA Instance for details.
