Manually promote the standby port to primary to control the return traffic path.
Note
This operation is only available in Active-Standby mode. Active-Active mode has no primary/standby distinction.
Use this operation to proactively redirect traffic — for example, when you need to perform maintenance on the current primary port.
Go to the instance details page → Mode Configuration section.
Hover over the Change button on the standby port row and confirm the tooltip: Switch this port to primary.
Click Change, then click OK in the confirmation dialog.
After the switch, the standby port becomes the primary port and the original primary port becomes the standby port.
This operation controls return (egress) traffic only. Inbound traffic must be redirected by the customer via BGP routing policy.
