# Change BFD Configuration

## Prerequisites

* This operation is not available for IP Transit using Gateway Mode.
* Disabling BFD can simplify network configuration and reduce CPU and bandwidth overhead, but it results in slower failure detection and increased potential for network disruption.

## Procedures

1. Go to **Actions** > **Change BFD Configuration**.

2. Check or uncheck **Enable BFD** as you need.
