# When should I consider using Layer 4 HTTP/HTTPS domain protection?

### Prerequisites

* Your origin support HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
* Your accelerator is configured TCP acceleration rules.

Domain names are vulnerable to various threats and security risks, which is why domain name protection, particularly in the context of HTTP and HTTPS, is of utmost significance. You can enable HTTP/HTTPS domain protection to accelerate only the configured domains.
